This course introduces the student to the management of drinking water and wastewater from a perspective of civil engineering.
Objectives
- Identify the principal characteristics and services of water.
- Quantify and assess the behavior of water contaminants in engineered systems.
- Recognize the processes and technologies associated with production of drinking water and treatment of wastewater and sludge.
- Design at a conceptual level a system for water treatment.
